• sin, cos, tan: Calculates the sine, cosine, and tangent of a given angle.
• sin¹, cos¹, tan¹: The inverse trigonometric functions (arcsine, arccosine, arctangent) used to find an angle when the sides are known.
• DEG / RAD: A toggle that dictates how the calculator interprets angles. Degrees (DEG) divides a circle into 360 parts, while Radians (RAD) measures angles based on the radius of a circle.
• π (Pi): Inserts the constant Pi (approximately 3.14159) for circular geometry.

Algebra and Exponents

• x²: Squares the preceding value.
• xʸ: The power function. Raises a base number to a specific exponent (e.g., 2ʸ3 = 8).
• √: Calculates the square root of a number.
• log: Calculates the base-10 logarithm.
• ln: Calculates the natural logarithm (base e).
• e: Inserts Euler's number (approximately 2.718), the base of the natural logarithm.

Memory and Formatting

Formatting buttons help manage your output and retrieve previous data.

• ans: Retrieves the exact result of your most recently calculated expression, allowing you to chain calculations together without retyping long decimals.
• f ↔ d: The fraction-to-decimal toggle. It attempts to convert a decimal result into a clean fraction approximation, or vice versa.
• DEL: Backspaces to delete the last entered character, unlike "Clear" which wipes the entire screen.
